Crusin with Dave

September 2nd, 2010

As most of the Cruiser’s know, on Friday August 27th, Dave Rice (Crusin with Dave) left us. Dave ran a web site that is linked to on the bottom right side of this web site called Crusin With Dave. Dave did not belong to any car club, but what he did to promote the hobby was beyond what anybody else would have done. Dave posted pictures from many of the Cruise nights in the area, went to homes and did profiles on Owner and Vehicle with pictures, listed all the local events he could muster up, and this included fund raisers. Dave also was the one that promoted the Fall Cruise through the mountains. Dave also had a large e-mail list that he would send out weekly updates to, this he did just to keep all those on the list informed of the events going on every week.
Dave will be greatly missed by the Cruisers of the local communities.
A cruise in memory of Dave was held at Brown’s Restaurant and pictures are in the photo gallery, go to page 2 and open the album. The one that says no thumbnail is a group photo from there. Click on the no thumbnail then click on download then just go back to view the pictures.

St. Joe’s Pictures

August 31st, 2010

The pictures from the show have been put on the web site.

St Joe’s Show

August 30th, 2010

What a success this show was this year. With several other shows going on in the area, we were able to have 102 vehicles register for this one. We had 30 trophies to hand out, all sponsored by area businesses and people. Every year, the winners of the trophies are picked by those that enter the show. I will be posting the pictures taken later tonight so that all could see the quality of the vehicles that took part in this years show.
As always, the members of the Montage Mountain Classics would like to thank every one that had something to do with making this years show a success. Our donation to St. Joe’s from this event goes to a very worthy cause and both our club and St Joe’s thanks everyone.

NEWS FLASH “Cruise Location Changed”

May 27th, 2010

Due to the construction going on at the McDonalds in South Side the Montage Mountain Classic Car Club’s cruises for June, July and August on the 2nd Friday of the month will be held at McDonalds by Wegmans. This will only be temporary until the new place is done. We will still have our DJ so be sure to cruise on it.

Cruise Nights at McDonald’s

April 6th, 2010

Just talked to the manager of the McDonalds in South Side. Don’t be alarmed when you see the construction going on at their site, as they are doing some major remodeling. We will still be holding our cruise night there this summer. They are planning to be shutting down the first week of June and opening up the first week of September. SO REMEMBER THE CRUISES WILL STILL GO ON, THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE BEEN FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS ON THE 2ND FRIDAY OF THE MONTH AND WE WILL CONTINUE THERE UNTIL THEY RE-OPEN. Hope to see all of you there.

Our Charity Events/Car show and Cruise In

January 20th, 2010

Mark your Calendars now, we run two events for local charities, one is for St. Joseph’s Center and the other is for the Ronald McDonald house. If you have nothing planned for either of these events, we would appreciate your support. Both are very worthy causes.
August 15th is the date for the St. Joseph Show, with a rain date of August 22nd. This show is held in Pittston at the Pittston Commons on the Pittston bypass. This show runs from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM. It is a peoples choice, with the only ones doing the voting are those that enter the show. None of the members of the Montage Classics Club are allowed to enter the show. If you need any more information on this event e-mail me through this site.
There is a entry fee for the show, we have a DJ, food vendors and we do a 50/50 raffle, and a give away raffle where we give out donated prizes.

September 26th is our cruise in for the Ronald McDonald house, with a rain date of October 3rd. This event is held at McDonald in the South Side (Scranton) shopping center. Time for this event is 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Unlike the show, we just have a donation bucket at the entrance of the parking lot. We do run a 50/50 raffle and a give away raffle. Again this is items donated to us for the give away. There will be a DJ and there are a few places to eat.
