Montage Mountain Classics

I have some pictures from the last cruise we had in South Side and have to get them in the computer and loaded up to the web site. I also have some pictures from this years trip to Ocean City, Maryland. Our cruise in South Side turned out better than expected with the way the weather started out. We always thank those of you that show up at our cruises. I will try to have the pictures on the web within a day or two. I am busy trying to get a MGB ready to take up to my son in Mass. I need to get my truck wired for the trailer and get the trailer inspected so I have a busy week. The MG has been in my cellar for about 6 or 7 years so there are things I need to do to it.

As many of you are aware, a reunion for the Pocono Drag Lodge is underway. It is going to be on August 15th at the Pocono Drag Lodge, Meadow Run Road, Bear Creek, Pa. Hours will be 9 AM to 5 PM, rain or shine. There will be a fee for admission of spectators and for show cars. The organizers of this event are hoping to get some of the old racers back to the area and tell some of the old stories. Maybe we will see you there.

Our car show for St Joseph’s Center will be on August 16th this year at the Pittston Commons off of the Pittston bypass. Times for this event are 9 AM until 3 PM. This show has been very successful for us and we hope to have it’s success continue. Again this year, there will be great breakfast and lunch items provided by the same vendor we had last year. The Ice Cream truck will also be there. We get a number of trophies that are donated by area merchants and private donations. For those of you new to our show, our judging system is done by those that enter the show, points are awarded based on how you are selected, 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Best of show goes to the one receiving the most points, and none of the members of our club are to have their vehicles judged. Looking forward to having a good turnout. Our cruise event that helps us with our charitable donations to the Ronald McDonald house will be September 27th at McDonald’s in the South Side shopping center in Scranton. Timing for this event will be 2 PM until 6 PM. Will be looking forward to seeing all our old friends that attend and any new ones that show up. RAIN DATE for this event October 4th.

As you all know, our meetings are held on the first Monday of every month unless there is a Holiday. All our meetings are held at Diskin’s Saloon 2716 Birney Ave, in the Minooka section of Scranton. Meetings start a 7 PM

This coming Monday at the meeting I should hear about how the bus trip went and if there were any good deals at the auction. I will try to get something posted on the site if any good news comes up
